Concept

This show was a profound blend of emotion and challenge. Set against the backdrop of the Flint water crisis, it revolved around a family of women, each navigating the crisis in their own way. The house itself played a character, its troubled pipes mirroring the unrest within the family. Plum, the youngest, had been affected by the poisoned water, leading to her haunting sleepwalking episodes. In these moments, we delved into a dreamlike, surreal world that gripped her.

The news, a constant presence in both the house and their world, served as a backdrop to the narrative, helping the audience track the timeline of the water crisis. The intention was to immerse the audience in the women's experience, mirroring the reality of communities in Flint and beyond who can't simply switch off the TV and pretend these issues don't exist. The show aimed to connect on a deeply human level, exploring the shared struggle that binds us all.
