Concept

My sound design concept for the show revolves around the idea of our society's connectivity through the virtual world. Despite our varying locations and lifestyles, there's always something that unites us. To reflect this, I integrated distinct sound effects for each letter writer during transitions, symbolizing their unique voices. As the show progresses, we all draw closer, emphasizing our shared human connection.

Regarding the music, I aimed to encapsulate the essence of Sugar, the advice columnist, and Maria Rodriguez-Sager, the actor portraying Sugar. It's worth noting that the beauty of this show lies in its versatility; anyone can embody the role of Sugar. Therefore, I strived to celebrate our actors, highlighting their shared traits of a serene spirit and a deep commitment to helping others find the answers they seek.
