The concept of the show centered on the significance of news, where Flint residents had to rely on TV for any information on the water crisis. The play unfolds in two distinct realms: the reality and the surreal world within Dayla, who, affected by lead-contaminated water, communicates with her deceased grandmother. The distinction between these realms is defined by sound and lighting. Given the setting in Flint, Michigan, I aimed to incorporate local artists' music into the transitions, making it a unique and meaningful experience.
